The Santa Cruz County CTEP Dental Assisting Program is a full-time two-semester program starting in August 2018 and ending in June 2019. This program provides training as a professional Clinical Dental Assistant offering four certifications required for an entry-level position and are also mandated requirements for application for the Registered Dental Assistant licensure for the State of California.
Students must attend ONE of the following Dental Assisting Program orientations as a requirement for the application process. The orientations will be held at the Santa Cruz County CTEP office located at 399 Encinal Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.
The late application process will include completion of the following:
Completion of Dental Assisting application, late application due by Friday, 7/27/18 5:00PM. ( Please Download )
Completion of reading assessment on Monday,7/30/18 (contact instructor for appointment by Friday, 7/27/18)
Completion of personal interview on Monday, 7/30/18 (will be completed after reading assessment)
* Student must be 18 years of age or turning 18 by December 31, 2018.
* Student will be notified of acceptance into the Dental Assisting Program within 1 week of completing all application requirements. Please be advised, students will be placed on a "wait-list" once accepted into the Dental Assisting Program. Students will be contacted by August 14, 2018 if there is an opening for 2018-2019. There is a mandatory orientation on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 @ 2:30 pm for all students accepted for the 2018-2019 school year.
*Alternates will be placed on the 2019-2020 "wait-list" and will be contacted in January 2019 for enrollment status for 2019-2020.
* Final LATE application deadline is Friday, July 27, 2018 by 5:00 pm.
